Smile, Skeleton Crew
Helping people feel good is what Skeleton Crew is all about. The Dayton, Ohio based jam band takes the tradition of the Grateful Dead into the 21st century by combining Midwest roots rock sensibility with high-flying, anything-goes improvisation. The setlist each night is written on the wind, but is sure to include a selection of Skeleton Crew’s foot-tapping originals, some Dead and Phish favorites, a surprise song or two you may have forgotten, and some improvisation never before heard. Skeleton Crew’s sound has been dubbed “Old School Cool†by their faithful fans. It’s been said that “ … They have become one of Dayton's most popular jam bands by combining an eclectic roots-rock repertoire with a fun-loving laid back attitude and dynamic, well crafted improvisation.â€
Since their first show in 2000, Skeleton Crew has been playing festivals and venues across Ohio and Indiana. Their goal every night is to make their fans dance and have fun. The magic of a Skeleton Crew show is captured in their 2005 debut CD release, Butterflies.
