Astro Chicken are Barney Miller and John Laprade from New York City, by way of Houston, Texas & Wooster, Mass, respectively.
They started as a trio in '96. Their latest release includes guest musicians from Whiskytown and Mr. Henry. Their sound mixes Wilco-style Alt-Country with Beatle-esq chord changes and harmonies.
Almost Anywhere was produced by Robert L. Smith who's worked with artists including; Ricki Lee Jones, the Prodigals, Donald Fagen and others.
