David Irvine's Safe Harbor is a diverse collection of well-crafted, original tunes, ranging from roots rock to pedal steel flavored country. The songwriting exhibits a sophistication and a sense of humor that calls to mind John Hiatt. David's other influences include The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Gram Parsons, The Grateful Dead, Steve Earle and Tom Waits.

Safe Harbor is David's first solo effort. David also plays in the Roots Rock band, Canyon, along with his wife Stephanie on drums and Stan Briggs on bass. As if that weren't enough, David is a member of the recording venture known as 220 Dirt Road. Along with Van Thorne of NYC and Jeff Green of Rhode Island, 220 Dirt Road just recorded their soon-to-be released album, Broken Fences.
