Haunted swirling guitar lines, hypnotic bass sub-tones, and rootsy
drumbeats provide a rich backdrop for Duresse's powerful and nostalgic
anthems. Layer upon layer of sonic morsels weave there way through the music
and aid repeat listening.

Ex-Wheat guitarist and songwriter Ricky Brennan joins childhood friends
Derek Dutra and Brad Archer on Duresse's impressive debut EP. Together, this
trio from the Northeast paints a rolling landscape comprised of overgrown
train yards and desolate parking lots turned graveyards of bittersweet
memories and ex-lovers words. The music exists somewhere in the future and
the past--pushing forward while reminding the listener of what rock music
has lost.

'Elate' foreshadows a big year for Duresse. The band has begun showcasing
new material at their energetic live shows and has plans of releasing full
length in the fall of 2006.
