George was born in southern Germany in the city of Heidelberg. This city is very old and known for the world famous castle named after the city. It is located on the Neckar River directly in front of the University Of Heidelberg where Mozart studied. George's father was a sergeant in the U.S. Army stationed In Germany at that time. Later he was transferred to Fort Irwin California. George was raised in the High Desert area of southern California. A lot of his songs have been written while at the beach, which is where he spends a lot of his time. George is blessed with the talent of playing the guitar, piano, bass, drums, and a gift to sing his songs as well. His influences are many, but Tom Petty and Bob Marley are his major influences. Newer influences include The Isley Brothers, Jack Johnson, P.O.D, Jackson Browne, Led Zeppelin and Santana. George recorded 2003's "Perfect Day" as his first solo project which consists of four tracks. This year George has been working in Fountain Valley, CA on his latest album "Running Free". The fourteen tracks consist of lots of rock with a taste of classic rock and even a pinch of hip hop. George has been in a number of bands and has opened for bands such as Great White in 2000 and many more. Now on his own he strives to widen his audience with his style of music. While being California based he wants to take his music to the world. George has been working with some of the best in the business and has now released of his new album " Running Free" . George was privileged to work with great talent Keith Taylor on 2003's "Perfect Day". In May 2004, the two of them reunited to begin work on George's new album "Running Free". This time around, acclaimed pros such as Rick White, Hal Rattliff, and Roger Gillespie, along with captivating vocalist /songwriter Lisa Wager and Rick Dale have all joined the team. Running Free is George's best work to date. George also had the honor of working with #1 hit songwriter Steven McClintock, whose mind blowing performance on the song "Pour" is also featured on the new album. Lee Thornburg of the "Tonight Show Band" is featured on George's song " My Candle ". Thornburg's toured with numerous music legends including Rod Stewart, Tom Petty, Aaron Neville, Ray Charles, Bonnie Raitt, Huey Lewis, Dwight Yoakam, Elton John, Ringo Star and Clint Black. Thornburg joined "The Tonight Show" band in July 2001. He also continues to arrange for and perform with Etta James and the Roots Band, and is featured on George's song "My Candle". Bob Spickard of The Chantays was gracious enough to play on George's song " Change" where he put it down signature style bringing his legendary surf guitar riffs to the album. In 1963, the teenage group from California, the Chantays, had one of the biggest and best instrumental surf hits, "Pipeline". Competent players who went heavy on the rumbling bass, ghostly reverb and electric keyboards, they were the epitome of the California sound that was about to strike with bands such as the Beach Boys and Jan & Dean. The Chantays were inducted into the HOLLYWOOD ROCK WALK on February 21, 1989 and will even have a street named after them "Chantays Blvd" which be located in Santa Ana, CA where it all began. "Bob Spickard is a legend in this business and to work with him was truly an honor and a dream come true for me." Recording this album has been an unforgettable experience for sure and there is lots of great music for fans to look forward to on the new album. George's future in the business looks very promising and has come with great determination and lots of hard work. "This is my life man! It's what I breathe every day.
