Produced by Tom Herbers (Minnesota Music Academy's "1999 Producer of the Year"), the pure analog recording of Gin House Jed's debut album "Go Out Happy" provides an honest and energetic backdrop to the group's garage pop style of big guitars and catchy vocal hooks. Mix in a few spine tingling ballads, a little funk and honky-tonk, and you've got the ingredients to "Go Out Happy."

"Go Out Happy" is described as "tried and true pop, balladry and roots rock" by the Minneapolis Tribune (04/16/99).

When released in 1999, the title track "Go Out Happy" received airplay on the KQRS "Homegrown" program hosted by Mei Young, and the Cities 97 "Local Music Hour" hosted then by Bill Deville. "Whiskey Sunday" also received airplay on Cities 97 as well...and, "Whiskey Sunday" was also used for bumper music on the KSTP AM Joe Soucheray show.

Early in 2000, with little promotion and no fanfare (mainly for giggles), "Go Out Happy" was re-released to a handful of select college stations around the country and received airplay by several stations.
