Ground Floor--a true rock & roll band story. Do you want to hear it?

O.K., combine a TOTALLY melodic bass guitar with traditional rock lead guitar, add heavy metal influenced drumming with a strong, creative female non-uptight Christian singer and you get--Ground Floor. Highly listenable, VERY melodic, GOOD party music. Words that anyone can listen to, and make you feel, think. Lots of various style undertones, such as punk & country & folk & pop. New Jersey kids venting their creativity in a band, minimal lessons, zero handouts.

Oh, they played and they played and they played, looking for the elusive record deal that would set them on the tour of their life (didn't happen, which now is clearly a good thing). Venues included Lion's Den, CBGB's, Bitter End, Kenny's Castaways, etc. the basic NY City original band outlets. Audiences loved them, myopic businessmen did not. AND let's not forget their homestate clubs in New Jersey, such as the Showplace in Dover, Dirt Club, Stone Pony and that beacon of culture the Arlington Lounge in North Arlington, NJ (ha, ha) all thruout the late 1980's and early 1990's. So chops were developed, writing style grew, and their music is timeless, and cannot be categorized as anything but original--why it stands today & is more appreciated than it's original distribution date of 1992.
