JAHSTIX......SKRATCH
JAHSTIX started his musical career on the streets of new york city, busking for a living in the subway " undergound train" stations.There he honed his skills playing a blend of his own songs and those of his numerous heroes / sheroes . . he says in that curious voice "....just me and my acoustic guitar...know what i mean?....i'd play everything from Bob Marley to Jimi hendrix to Tracy Chapman to Stevie wonder to David ryan harris to Seal to Richie havens...and so on....,i mean,. . too many to name, just sounds u know... good songs ..good everyday folks, just sharing all these vibes, i would play and these people coming home from work after a hard day at work , they would come up and thank me and gift me, now ,thats when i knew i was performing public service here boy!! its deep but very immediate.." he has performed at most of the major minor venues in the city and continues to be actively gigging in the east coast region with his 3 piece band..Kurlii Eytina on bass,and Sean on drums/percussions ..presently working on ""spreadin the vibes""as he says into the rest of the world..he says "all these songs were recorded in my tiny studio room on my 8 track machine ,just me and the guys plugging in and goin for it , u know ,no overdubs , i tried to capture the vibe we bring when on stage , live and very immediate vibrations ,..u know natural..yeah ,the whole premise of SKRATCH is just a definition of a piece of art that starts as a basic representation of an ideal masterpiece of creation..thats why everything in life gotta start from SKRATCH !!!.The genesis of all final revelations,

He often gets comparisons to a young Bob marley,Tracy Chapman ,Ben Harper and some even call him a male Lauryn Hill but in his own words.."well. i just do the thing that comes naturally, which has to be of the greatest value cos.i cant force my muses,u know they gift me what they will, pending on moods and the times at hand im just the medium and im grateful .i cant dictate the style or direction of my moods , so , in the same vain, i cant dictate the music or the moods i just reflect them..." well he has spoken, now, will u reflect them?
