Where did all the real rockers go? Take the rugged, street-wise edge of Springsteen, combine it with the magnetism of Elvis, and then add the sexy-guy-next-door appeal of Chris Isaak, and you get John Gallagher. Tall, dark, handsome, crooning an unapologetic, romantic ballad one minute and rocking the roof off the house the next.

John is a staple of Orlando's independent music scene. He performs solo on acoustic guitar and with his full band The Orange Blossom Trails in Florida, Nashville and in his home city of New York. Meridale, John's long awaited debut album, was independently released at the end of 2004 and has not only earned him airplay but also a torrent of new fans.

As far as influences go, there are many and some of them hail way back to a time when John was obviously too young to know how they'd shape his prolific and down-to-earth songwriting. His mentors include: The Rolling Stones, BB King, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Hank Williams Sr.

Needless to say, that kind of musical foundation and a natural fascination for what makes people tick results in John writing very relatable songs. Audiences love him. Whether about lust, devotion, heartache, or drinking, John's passion for melody, lyric and performing comes through. John says that the goal of his music is to impart some hope, adrenaline and a few laughs.
