Las Vegas based singer/songwriter Tarah has many years expeirence writing and singing with various music projects. Self taught from an early age she names her influences from Garland to Joplin, Dylan to Bowie. She finds inspiration in artist's that take risk break rules and create their own paths. In 1998 Tarah formed Maroon Swoon. She combined the freewheeling and ecclectic musicians of the Las Vegas area to collaborate, record and perform songs that draw from psychedelic rock and blues influences to create a distinctive blend of original music. Swingin' Jim on drumz and bassist RJ Wickenden lay down the blood pumping rythym, while guitarist Bernie Hamburger creates colorful signature leads on his own custom made "Hamburguitar" guitars, that surround and highlight Tarah's unique vocal stylings and thought provoking lyrics. Maroon Swoon live shows are soul stirring, fueled by heartfelt passion and played with intense conviction. Maroon Swoon songs proudly follow no current trends.
