You think you've got the blues?
Mary Everhart has finally released a new CD 'Distant Star' that tells the story of the ups and downs of a Southern Blues woman with a little humor thrown in to boot. The songs are about her personal experiences and there is an extra little treat with a hidden bonus track on the CD.
A recent review of this CD Jabeaux from Blue Dog entertainment is quoted as saying, This blues woman makes you think of the days of Billie Holiday but with a charge of electricity in her fingertips lets you know she's a child of the 70's.
It's real and that's what I like in an artist.. The real music, lets you know you're alive and with Distant Star Mary makes the listener search within... I do think it's time some major Blues label take notice of this woman.
