Monte & The Machine is a three-piece Rock & Roll band from St. Louis MO. The members are:
Joe Monteleone - lead and backing vocals, bass, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, and drums
Mike Levine - electric guitar, piano, backing vocals
Vinnie Misuraca - drums

Joe Monteleone and Mike Levine founded Monte & The Machine in 1998. They've written over 50 complete original songs combined and play many of them in their live shows. Their influences are primarily from rock, blues, and soul artists of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Since they prefer the rich recordings of the pre digital age, Down On The Avenue, was recorded on analog tape at the Montelevine studio in St. Louis MO. The band is very proud of this debut release and has gotten strong reviews from fans. The songs range from classic rock (Down On The Avenue, Midnight) to rockabilly (I Got A Woman), to blues (Sally, Sue, Jake & Paul) to progressive rock (I Do, Girl Gone Astray). They were carefully crafted between 1995 and 2003. The band is currently trying to publish the songs and get signed by an honest and strong record label someday soon.
