Phil Trigwell, an Englishmen who lives in Sweden since a long time, first get international attention when he played at the “5 years Tessy Records” convention in 1993, also staring Sun Artists Rudy Grayzell.

This was the start for a promotion tour through Germany with the “Deputies”. A typical Rockabilly backing featuring Jyrki Juvonen on guitar (from Wildfire Willies “Ramblers”), Anders Almberg drums (also playing with “Jump for Joy” and “Red Hot & Blue”) and Anders Thomasson bass (also “Jump for Joy”). Their first “Tessy Records” LP 2003 (still available) was ready two days before the convention, but the sleeve printed negative. 200 sleeves was numbered with a “5 years Tessy Records” Sticker on the misprint sleeves and sold mostly at the convention (a few are still in stock!). After the record released they played in Swedish TV.

A year later Phil Trigwell was back in Germany for a package tour with “Wildfire Willie and the Ramblers”. Finally they recorded in 1996 the fantastic album “It wasn’t the moonlight” with Alf '-stlund (Ramblers), replacing Anders Thomasson on bass. First released as CD in late 1996 and, because of the great demand, on LP in spring 1997.
This album quoted “Rockabilly just out of this world” and “Best record of the year” from English magazine “Continental Restyling”. It includes 15 self penned authentic 50’s songs.

After “Moonlight” a lot of other Labels were interested in releases with Phil. Next he recorded a 10” LP for Tail Records, than an Album for Enviken Records, where he played great Rock’n’Roll and Oldie Songs (no Rockabilly) just accompanied by his different guitars and one Song with bass. He also recorded an EP for Armadillo Records, Switzerland. All sounded much different to the Tessy Records releases.

Now he’s back on Tessy Records, with a “new” Sound (Western Swing, Hillbilly Bop, a bit Rockabilly and nice ballads), and a “new band”. To play with his new band, like Andre Hakwinson, you have to be a good musician and you have to live in “Los Bandhagos”. Where this is? Just listen carefully to the CD and find out on yourself.
