"Like the Clash, if they were American and more concerned with cars than politics." Formed in 2004 this rugged Kentucky based three piece have proven to be one of the most original and talented new acts to come out of the Greater Cincinnati area in years. Led by Jack Coray with his deep-as-the-Mississippi, Cashesque vocals and rampaging guitar, together with headlong accompaniment by slapper Doug "Slimetone" Osborn and drummer Matt Walsh make for fast-paced and nitro-fueled music that cuts full-on rockabilly with western voicings, countryish bopping and fireball psych storming.
In May of 2005 the Rumble Club went into the studio to record Rumble Club Rides tonight their debut album. Jack: “I wanted this record to be first rate and work with the best engineer I could find! We we’re real lucky that Erwin Musper (Legendary record engineer/producer) had just recently opened The Bamboo Room Studio in Northern KY.”
Rumble Club Rides Tonight was released in 8/20/05. Produced by Jack, Engineered by Erwin and released under Jack’s new record label Rumble Club Records. The CD has been described as “high-octane songs that buzz with the spirit of vintage Rockabilly and burn with the fire of classic Punk”. The CD has ten original songs, and a bonus track of Golden Earring’s 80’s pop hit done the Rumble Club way. It was voted one of the best local releases in 2005 by Cincinnati’s Citybeat Magazine, and was a favorite of several Indie and College radio stations world wide. The album hit #2 on KVUC 1190 Boulder Colorado’s top 30 albums. Jack: “We’ve received phone calls and letters from radio stations all over the world telling us how much they love the CD. We’re very fortunate to get so much airplay”.
After playing several shows in the Greater Cincinnati area and Northern Kentucky, as well as sharing the stage with such greats as The Reverend Horton Heat, Rumble Club is ready for 2006. Jack: “We have a lot of plans for 2006. We will be playing dates at home to support our local fans, but folks from all over the US and Europe have been writing and asking us to come play a show where they are at. Its time for us to tour!”.
