I have been playing in the Bay Area for the past four years. I have been drawing off such music styles as surf, blues and rock. Although I'm mostly self taught I was fortunate enough to pick up a few lessons from Jerry Miller (of Moby Grape) and Tom Morrel (Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys).
Some of my most recent music has been as Link Wray meets The Blasters. I started out playing acoustic music as well as blues guitar and it just made sense for me to have more of a rock-a-billy influense, which served me well over the past four years.
Most recently I`ve played with Joe Stummer (Clash) and the Mescaleros at the Fillmore in San Francisco.This was my second show at The Fillmore, the first was with Brian Setzer at the beginning of the year.
I also played with Brian Setzer again when he started his 68' Comeback Tour at the Mountain Winery. In all this was my 3rd Bill Grahm production this year. I played with Southern Culture on the Skids four times this year, not to mention all the others; Blasters, The Pogues, The Specials, The Palidins, Ronnie Dawson... too many to list.
I`ve been selected to be on a compilation CD produced by Virgin Records overseas in Belgium. I will be in the company of such artists as ZZ Top, Tom Waits, Jonny Winter, Los Lobos, Canned Heat, John Hammond, to mention a few. This compilation CD is scheduled to be released after the first of the year
