Tommy Wiggins is a case study of music and motion. Musically, here comes his ninth recording, Adult Themes.
Tommy's new songs are snapshots of his life as an adult. Love and longing, pain and regrets, bad things that happen to good people, getting up every day and going to work and even a song about trying to shield your daughter from greasy musicians. Sexy stuff, huh? Tommy says "These songs show me fumbling from point A to point B just like everybody else. The cool thing is that every day we get to start all over. I dig that a lot." Adult Themes was mixed by noted engineer Eric Sarafin (Ben Harper, Lighthouse, Barenaked Ladies) and mastered by Dave Collins (everybody), so it rocks out pretty well. And then there's the motion part. When he's not making his own music, Tommy directs the innovative Recording Arts & Technology program at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. (check out www.crookedrivergroove.com) During the past year he has launched a student-run record label, produced two concerts at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame+Museum, performed on several Fox and PBS TV shows, developed a second stage for regional bands at a 5000 seat outdoor amphitheater and served as artistic director and host for 32 episodes (over 100 to date) of the popular cable TV music performance show "Crooked River Groove" and the Emmy∂Ĩ award-winning songwriter interview show "Words&Music". Whew! As you're reading this, Tommy's revving up his new rock band, writing songs for the tenth CD and scoring a feature film. Tommy Wiggins...Music and Motion.
